After Fire Mitigation and Aspen Release. Use of Forestry Mulching Equipment.
South Cottonwood Canyon
This project involved removing dense thickets of Hawthorne, chokecherry, dogwood, and fir to release aspen stands, enhancing wildlife habitat and mitigating fire risks. This vegetation management will promote biodiversity by allowing aspen stands to flourish, supporting various wildlife, including small mammals and birds. Additionally, specific snag trees and downed debris will be retained to provide essential habitats, creating a balanced approach to forest management and fire safety.
